Orson

Friendly Feral

Orson the Cat Adopter Carol Dobson wrote to us to tell us how things were going with her formerly feral cat, Orson:

I adopted Orson, formerly known as Ernie, from the ASPCA on August 4, 2011.

He is a jet-black boy, likely a Bombay mix. The interesting thing about Orson is that he is a former feral cat. I noticed the ear tipping and told the counselor that I knew he'd been trapped, neutered and returned (TNR). (I also told her that he had such a lovely, friendly personality, I wasn't at all bothered by his past.)

She checked his records and found he'd actually been trapped twice! The people doing the TNR work noticed he had potential to be socialized and took a little time to work with him so he could be adopted.

Orson is a very friendly, playful cat who also enjoys the company of my other cats. I really feel good about this adoption!
