About Us

Fresh Step® Litter - Feline Arts Council and the Catdance Film Festival

From cats on the big screen to kitty features in popular fashion pieces, the fair feline serves as a muse across all art forms. We are pleased to celebrate cat inspiration in the arts with our long-time supporter Fresh Step®, which is supporting the ASPCA through the sale of items selected by its Feline Arts Council (FAC) and debuting at the 2014 Catdance Film Festival*.

The FAC—including ASPCA cat expert Eileen Hanavan—is on a mission to promote the paw-sitive representations of cats in mainstream culture. The FAC will bestow its seal on America’s top purr-worthy products, which will be donated to the ASPCA and sold on our store.

To learn more about the FAC, visit www.freshstep.com/promotions/feline-arts-council-2013. A number of items selected by the FAC are already available in the ASPCA’s Online Store. You can wear your cat love just below your sleeve or on your head with a fashionable Meow Cuff or the adorable cat ear headband—check them out while supplies last! 100% of the purchase price of each item will benefit the ASPCA.

In addition, the official t-shirt from the 2014 Catdance Film Festival is also now available! The Catdance Film Festival will celebrate original short cat films hand-picked by the FAC from a nationwide search. Official selections are available for screening at www.freshstep.com/catdance and finalist films will be released following the January 18, 2014, feline-fete held in Park City, Utah. As part of the Catdance Film Festival, Fresh Step will donate $25,000 to the ASPCA.

We are thrilled to announce that actor Gilles Marini, recently featured in People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue holding his adorable cat Penelope, will host this year’s Catdance Film Festival and debut the latest in feline fashion to benefit the ASPCA. Be the first on your block to order this exclusive t-shirt!
