Albuquerque, New Mexico, joined the ASPCA Partnership in 2014 in an effort to save the lives of more at-risk and homeless pets. Two Albuquerque animal welfare agencies will collaborate with the ASPCA to improve conditions for the community’s animals.

The Albuquerque partner agencies include:

City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department
The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department encourages responsible ownership of domestic animals and cares for missing, abused and homeless animals. The agency encourages and celebrates the human-animal bond through adoption and education, and helps assure community health and safety.

Animal Humane New Mexico
Animal Humane is New Mexico's leading private nonprofit animal welfare organization. Its mission is to support and improve the lives of New Mexico’s cats and dogs through sheltering, adoptions, humane education and veterinary services. Animal Humane finds homes for nearly 5,000 homeless pets from across the state each year and provides resources for pets and pet owners in New Mexico.
