The ASPCA’s partner agencies in Asheville, North Carolina, and the surrounding area of Buncombe County, are hard at work to increase adoptions, reduce intake and dramatically expand spay/neuter resources in their region. Ideal partners to promote compassion and respect for all animals, the Asheville Humane Society and the Humane Alliance are well on their way to creating a humane community.

Asheville Humane Society
Founded in 1984, the Asheville Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the compassionate treatment of animals in Buncombe County through education, sheltering and adoption.

Humane Alliance
The Humane Alliance provides high-volume, high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter procedures for the entire Western North Carolina region, where it has sterilized more than 275,000 dogs and cats since 1994.
