Ask the APCC: Is Watermelon Poisonous to My Dog?
Is watermelon poisonous to my Labrador retriever?
—Rodney S.
As you know, watermelon is definitely considered to be edible by humans. There is currently no data demonstrating that the edible portion, seeds and rind have potential to produce effects beyond minor gastrointestinal irritation to pets.
As a general rule of thumb, however, if you are considering offering any food outside of your dog’s normal diet, we recommend that you talk with your pet's regular veterinarian first.

My dogs love watermelon and muskmelon
and pineapple!! Do not give your dog grapes though! You should be able to find a list of what you can give them and what is not ok on the internet.
I was given a list from a local newspaper article by a co-worker.
Grapes, avocados, macadamia nuts, onions, tomatos, coffee, chocolate.
Also morning glories are poisonous as well as clematis', day lily's, tomato plants, and the list goes on. Hope this helps you alittle.
My dog also loves watermelon! It's also a great way to make sure he stays well hydrated on hot summer days.
