I have acutally not hurt about this incident until today. I have no intentions of watching the video but just the thought of it is terribly upsetting. He should responsible for what he did. This is so upsetting. I just dont get what possess people to hurt another living being. ... ALSO why did he video tape it? Did he think it was funny?? Too bad he didnt go off the cliff too. That would have been more hilarious. This is so heart breaking.
I tried sending an email to the address that listed on this posting, but it was returned as "undeliverable." Any suggestions?

Can you please help Advertise One Voice for People to sign Petition for the Abused Animals in China? I wrote to the USHS and no reply. Please Post: http://www.onevoice-ear.org/english/organization/origins.html , once there click Home Page upper left and there you will see the petitions highlight! Thank you, Your Animal Friends in China
I hope that action is taken ensure this person is rightly prosecuted, and is not allowed to serve our country. Someone that would do this, and video taped it because of the proud nature of doing so, should not be allowed such an honor. Our country may be at war at the moment, but animal lovers are continuously at war for the sake of helpless, voiceless animals, against these type of people.
I would hope that the government would also help us with this war.
Name withheld.
In a world where today's news is forgotten tomorrow, let's not forget the darling puppy who was allegedly tossed off of a cliff by a disgusting individual. If this video turns out to be authentic, and this Marine, who is supposed to be fighting to SAVE lives, did indeed kill this animal, he should be punished accordingly, albeit severely. Please also remember that our Marines are not all heartless and cruel; my husband is a former Marine and adores animals!
I saw this video today by accident and it has had me upset all day long. I can't imagine how anyone could do this to a helpless animal. I hope they are found and punished severely.
When is the media going to do an update on this? I would hate to see this abuse case fade away with no punishment.
Maybe my father (an army soldier from 1963 to 1966) was right. Marines are the lowest form of life. That marine should be hung from a tree.
i heard about this and i searched for the video myself because in my mind, i KNEW it would be fake. because in my mind, this is just impossible to be done. but of course, it looked very real and i was full of anger instantly. i hope karma/law comes back and hits him hard. he deserves the maximum punishment.
i will never be able to forget that video. it haunts me and even worse to know there is nothing i can do for the poor puppy.
I served as a Marine for nearly 9 years. I was never required to serve in harms way. I do not condone what happened and can say that type of behavior is not honorable and would fall under the category of "Marines don't do that". Keep in mind, however, it's easy to judge a person's actions when you have never been in harm's way constantly day in and day out. That country has a number that will perform acts of cruelty against their own sons simply because he isn't the oldest and these are vulgar acts much worse than tossing a dog. I can't imagine what it must take to see that taking place and not be able to stop that crap. This Marine made a horrible mistake by doing what he did. The actions he took to deal with his situation look bad from our perspective. I believe given a different perspective he would probably have never done this. Again, I am not defending it as much as I am saying he too is a victim of a situation he can't control just like that puppy was. I feel bad for both.
I live here in Washington state as well as the county this Marine hales from. I also work for a local paper here, so this incident has been making the front pages when the subject reveals new updates. Today's paper happened to have a front page-making story about how this Marine has been "kicked out" of the Marines for his conduct. The story doesn't say so, but I can only guess that the facts about this incident must all be true, otherwise, why is he getting "tossed out"? The article goes on to quote 2 local officials from his home town reminding people to consider that "that you'll never know how young men will react in a war zone" and the other says "that, although the incident is unfortunate, (He) still finds it troublesome that there was far more outcry for this puppy than the fact that...this Marine, was sent to war in another country"...unquote. THESE TWO COMMENTS HAVE ME SO ANGRY!!!!. From what has been reported before and my current understanding is that this Marine was in Hawaii, that is HAWAII...USA receiving training to go abroad! These city officials would have the audacity to guilt trip animal lovers into believing that this "young man" has suffered war related stress and is doing his duty serving OUR country...like he's in war torn Iraq or Afghanistan!!! Well, if the facts are true, he was in HAWAII!!! What war is being fought in Hawaii? PLEASE, give me a break! These two city officials need to be told to tone down the political rhetoric and use their brains! I'll say it again, LOUD & CLEAR!!!! This little *#&! was in HAWAII!!!!!! NOT fighting a war when he chose to act like an imbecilic, LOW-LIFE piece-of-pond-scum and, not only pick on a defenseless, innocent creature, but record his stupidity as well! AND he did it while receiving training in HAWAII!! Although some people are overreacting to this....sending death threats to his family, calling for his mother to be fired from her job, one thing is for sure...animal lovers and decent people all over the world need to keep a watchful eye and stay in contact with authorities whenever we witness random, careless and horrific acts of inhumanity like this. And to do what we can to keep the military and whomever else accountable. Want to know the names of the local city officials who seem to have no idea what the true situation was when this defender of life and liberty chose to act like the supposed terrorists he's supposed to be after? Search the web, you'll find the newest article, then you'll have the local officials (City Mayor and City Councilman) names.
I heard about the two s.o.b,s. People like that make me sick. They are flippen disgusting!!. And we let those pukes serve our country!! I hope they dont have kids. The punishment they should get. Send them up in a plane without a parashute and push them out!! While they are falling to their death! Now you know what it feels like to be afraid!! And dieing!!
