Adoption Diaries: Kitten Season! (And the Dogs Are Cute, Too!)
Elyse's Adoption Diary:
There's nothing like a kitten. I've heard many a person say "If they stayed this size, I would want one" or "I like kittens, but not cats." Now, these are not sentiments I agree with, clearly. I wish these people would give cats a chance. But I can concede, once again, that there's nothing like a kitten.

I set my camera on video and did a loop around the kitten room so that you'd have a tour of sorts. I didn't expect the cute little surprises that ended up in the video. Just watch and you'll find out what I mean!

This is Gracious Lee. She's my favorite kind of dog--simultaneously silly-looking and gorgeous. Silly because of her long, skinny face, and gorgeous because of her lovely colors and size. She also happens to be a mush ball. Best of all? She's always smiling!

Aw, Biscuit. Biscuit looks like he's had one biscuit too many. But this guy is clever; he managed to figure out a way to still eat yummy food and not diet food. He used to be in the fat cat habitat and refused to eat his diet food, and sadly he got sick as a result and almost died. But now he's recovered and doing well, and all volunteers are encouraged to feed Biscuit Fancy Feast. Now, is that some intelligent scheming or what? He reminds me of another clever fat orange cat—Garfield!

Will someone please adopt Fabian already?? He's a senior at nine years old, but look at him! He's stunning! I love his big 'ol head. And he loves head rubs. So we complement each other nicely!

I call this the House of Pits. I remember when they were just babies, and now they're three months old. Sniff sniff, how time flies! They must have had a good meal. I wonder if they always nap together like this. Sooooo sweet!

Awww! They're all so cute! I would adopt them all if I could! Too bad I don't live near The Adoption Center.
Please, Please give our older kitty's a chance. I LOVE KITTENS TOO. I Have delivered many litters and wanted them all. However our Moms and Pops don't wanna grow old and so many are so so grateful. Food for thought.
when i played the video of the kittens, my 2 cats came running out to see who the visitors were. I got my kitten (now a year old) from a friend. Her littermates and her brothers and sisters from another litter all went to the pound. I am sooooooo glad my Luna (short for Lunatic) is with me. She has such a playful personality and she loves to lie on me when I go to sleep. She also likes to climb on my desk when I'm on the computer.
My calico cat was found by a dumpster by her previous owner. She was annoyed by a group of rambunctious kittens so the owner gave her to me.She is an affectionate cat, but she doesn't like to be picked up. She is daddy's little girl. She adores my husband.
I love cats...as I have 4 indoor only to prove it. They are literally my family. I was caving in to get number five, when my best friend e-mailed me with the words "5 is not an option". Party crasher! This is coming from a person who has 4 cats as well! I always stop and see any cats/dogs at adoption places....I think a soft spoken voice is good for them to hear, of course included with a compliment on how pertty/handsome they are! I feed my urge for more cats by feeding up to 16 cats who live behind the park where I walk in the early weekday mornings. And believe me, I am attached to those guys too. There's a little tuxedo who rolls back and forth when I start dishing out the wet food every morning! I know if I was to actually touch him he'd be going home with me.....
