Free Cats at the ASPCA—Get ‘Em While They’re Cute!

Gibbons the catTime to give the older guys their due. Spread the word—starting tomorrow, you can adopt a kitty or two for free—if the cat’s at least three years old. It’s all part of our “Free Over Three” campaign. Free…three…whaddya know—that rhymes!

As you know, kittens and very young cats have much better chances of getting adopted. So we’re playing dirty to give our beloved purry ones over three the same chance for a great home.

*The regular adoption process still applies (meaning, we ain’t giving the cats to just anyone just because they’re free) and you can only take home two cats. All of our cats are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped. So come on down to 424 East 92nd Street in New York City, and meet the feline of your dreams! Over Three. Free.

first of all they are always cute, second of all you shouldn't get an animal just because of how adorable it is, you have to love and care for it, you must know that by taking your new cat home you have saved a life. i am doing a fund raiser to raise money to help fight against shelters that kill their animals. my email is mesterowitz@nj.rr.com . I am selling t shirts with a logo that i designed (i saved a life). if you wold like to hep me fight against animal cruelty please email me and i will give you the information. Be a hero, help a hero

I have a concern about this campaign... it comes to me by way of a recently acquired animal rescue friend from FL... she said that it had come to the attention of some of those working in the Orlando area that kittens and cats being given away for free, were in fact being "adopted" by people (for lack of a better term)in the dog fighting business and were being used for bait to train pit bulls. A cheap supply for the industry...

Your concern is understood and appreciated! But don't worry, we have pretty strict adoptions procedures that still apply.
