Adoption Diaries: Film Clip Frenzy!

Elyse’s Adoption Diary

It’s no surprise that Arthur was adopted shortly after I met him. Take a look into the seven-year-old Yorkie’s soulful eyes. They say “Take me home, please.” Arthur is my favorite kind of dog—calm and cuddly. As entertaining as doggie energy is, I like a pooch who can curl up and be lazy with me.

This belly rub is how Arthur gets his exercise:

And now, dear readers, this is what we writer types call juxtaposition. Presenting…puppy energy! Ace is a three-month-old pit bull who has no red-light function.

In the kitten room, I found a young Phantom Of The Adoption Center. Or was he Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? Or did he star in the movie Face/Off? Or maybe he’s auditioning to play Two-Face in Dick Tracy. OK, I’m done now, really.

If you’re at work, put your headphones on. If you’re home, call in the kids. Turn the volume up high, and listen to silly Peanut purr:

This is Remi. She may look like a toughie in this photo, but if you pass the sniff test, she’s all yours! She's our pet of the week.

“I iz not amuzed.”
