ASPCA Pet of the Week: Let the Sun Shine for Midnight!
“She sits on the desks and file cabinets! Just like a houseplant, only prettier,” chuckles Kristi Templeton, ASPCA Animal Behavior Counselor, when asked why Midnight would make a good pet. Midnight is currently being fostered in the ASPCA Adoption Center office by a handful of staff behaviorists; this mellow gal laps up all the attention in her own quiet way.
But don’t worry—you needn’t be a behaviorist to know and love this quintessential feline. All Midnight needs is a good windowsill to curl up on and she’ll be content to soak up the sunshine. “She’d do well in a home with a person as quiet as she is,” adds Templeton.
Our eight-year-old beauty, named for her extravagant black fur, was brought to the ASPCA when her owner moved to a new home where cats weren’t allowed. After spending her whole life as a housecat, she’s a bit out of sorts at our Adoption Center. If you’d like to return Midnight to her rightful role as a kitty princess, please call the ASPCA Animal Placement department at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4120. Please note: Midnight came to us declawed.

I think its wonderful little animals have a place to go when their people can't keep them Midnight is a beauty! As far as I know we don't have any places like yours anywhere near me. I wish we did. I support the ASPCA because the animals live I won't support places that put them to sleep almost as soon as the are put there. Midnight looks so content & happy with you. Thank you for all your work & dedication my best friend Kelly & I will continue to support you.
I live in SE Idaho & lost my home last October. I have 6 dogs various breeds, 1 that 5th generation (I had his great-great-great grand mother)I have found homes for 2 of them I have 4 in a bording kennel(owner is fantastic) but need to find homes for the rest. I can't find a home to rent that will take dogs. 2 are lab mixes 1 yr old, 1 border collie-husky mix 8 yrs old, spayed & a chow mix 11 yrs old in good health. They are inside & outside house trained & I hate having to kennel them. I cry when I think of giving them up but I don;t know what else to do. Contact me @ crystl_ldy@msn.com if any one can help me. thank you VS
