Adoption Diaries: Breaking New Boundaries of Cute!
Elyse’s Adoption Diary:
Don’t get your hopes up. You can’t have them. They were put on hold for adoption faster than you can say cutewittlepuppywuppies!
The six mini pinscher/yorkies were so young that volunteers were required to wear a gown and booties just to go in and socialize. This was to avoid spreading germs to the little ones, as they were all headed for spay/neuter surgery the next day. Chris, a volunteer, and I could only laugh when our gowns were ripped to shreds within a few minutes! Needless to say, the puppies will be enrolled in obedience classes.
My favorite is Skeeter, the one you see dancing along the kennel window. (Skip to 0:15 to see what I mean.) What a silly butt!
If I had to pick a favorite breed, a cocker spaniel would probably win. Look at Lady (yes, of course, they had to name her after Lady and the Tramp). At seven years old, sistah’s still got it. Such a stuffed animal. She let me play with her fuzzy ears and paws and cuddle her. This sweetheart is homebound soon, for sure.
This video is short and sweet, featuring Lady with her roommate, JJ.
Here’s Menunu, our heavyweight champ. You’ll read more about him tomorrow, since he’s our Pet of the Week. What a handsome face on Mr. Pudge!
Cats are “notorious” for withholding affection until they get to know you. Well, Christopher has apparently never heard of this rule. All he has to do is smell a human and he immediately shows off his belly for a rub!
Well, this is your last weekend for Christmas shopping, so what are you doing sitting around and reading this? Get movin’!
