The ASPCA is well-known for raiding dog fighting compounds, puppy mills and other sites of animal abuse, bringing animal victims to safety and ensuring they find loving homes. But that’s only half of many ASPCA animal rescue stories.
The other half happens after the rescue, in the lab and the courtroom. The ASPCA Animal Forensic Sciences Team works alongside our rescuers and various agencies to collect and analyze evidence that local, state and federal law enforcement may use to clinch convictions.
At the end of the day, this team is working to ensure abusers never lay a hand on an animal again.
