Animal Welfare Resources for Teens

DoSomething.com Animal ActionKnow any teens out there who are tackling animal cruelty in their communities? Boy, have we got an opportunity for them! DoSomething.org and the ASPCA have teamed up to create a new Animal Welfare section on Do Something’s website. As a great online resource for young people who care about animals, it lets kids see what causes are out there, take action for a cause they choose and post their own ideas for projects that raise awareness about animals.

Welcome to ASPCAEducation.org
At its most basic level, humane education is about learning to care for the animals in our homes and communities. It is about fostering kindness, respect and empathy for both human and nonhuman animals, and looking after the environment and its diverse habitats. Unlike science and other academic disciplines, humane education has a philosophical component that strives to establish a sense of responsibility and make the world a better, more humane place.
